Extended Drilling Depth Specifically engineered for “deep-hole” applications where a standard bit would bottom out. The extra flute length ensures that swarf (waste material) is lifted all the way out of the hole, preventing the bit from seizing or snapping.

Steam Tempered (Black Oxide) Finish The surface is treated to improve lubricity and retain cutting fluid. This finish is vital for long series bits as it reduces heat buildup and prevents “chip welding,” where hot metal fragments stick to the drill flutes.

High-Speed Steel (HSS) Rigidity While long bits are naturally more flexible, Dormer uses premium HSS and a specialized web design to maintain as much rigidity as possible, ensuring the bit drills straight even at full extension.

118° Conventional Point The point geometry is robust and easy to regrind. It provides an efficient cutting action across a wide variety of materials including structural steel, aluminum, and cast iron.

Standard Compatibility The 3.18mm straight shank fits all standard portable drills and stationary drill presses.
